BRANDENBURG PARK

50050 Jefferson Avenue, Chesterfield Township

From late fall through early spring, the pier, shoreline and breakwaters of the park attract massive numbers of resting gulls. This is a great place to find ducks, rare gulls and the occasional pelagic species. Scanning the lake with a scope may reveal special species among the ring-billed and herring gulls.

Fall and winter visitors will find migrating ducks and unusual gull species such as Iceland, Lesser Black-backed, Glaucous and the Great Black-backed. Rare gulls and the occasional pelagic species can be seen here as well.
